BITE NW Arkansas food festival to host inaugural restaurant week August 24 – 30, 2020

Food festival to host its first restaurant week experience in place of original festival dates, providing a week-long culinary experience supporting the local restaurant industry

ROGERS, Ark. – Event organizers announce today that BITE NW Arkansas will host the inaugural BITE Restaurant Week during the week of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G, August 24 – 30. BITE Restaurant Week will take the place of the event’s annual grand tasting style events in 2020.

The sixth annual BITE NW Arkansas food festival, scheduled for Fall 2020, was postponed due to the COVID-19 public health crisis. The event will return in 2021, with festival dates to be announced at a later date.

“Out of respect for our community and local partners, we feel postponing BITE NW Arkansas to 2021 is the right decision for the health and safety of our community,” stated Event Director, Annye DeGrand. “While the festival is postponed, we are proud to continue to support and celebrate our restaurants and the culinary scene of our region through BITE Restaurant Week.”

In partnership with event sponsors Walmart and General Mills, BITE Restaurant Week will celebrate and showcase BITE NW Arkansas restaurant partners, while providing the local community an opportunity to experience the vibrant culinary scene of NW Arkansas. Throughout the week, the community can look forward to special offerings and discounted pricing at participating restaurants.

“General Mills is proud to support our local culinary community through BITE NW Arkansas,” said Ryan Harrington, Vice President of Sales – Walmart at General Mills. “Our team looks forward to the event each year, and while we certainly wish we could be gathering to celebrate again this year – we hope the community will join us and continue to support our local restaurants and chefs through BITE Restaurant Week. Participating restaurants currently include Crabby’s Seafood Bar & Grill, Havana Tropical Grill, and Fred’s Hickory Inn, with additional restaurants being added each day. Individuals are encouraged to follow @BITENWA social channels and BITENWA.com/Restaurant-Week for information regarding BITE NW Arkansas Restaurant Week including up to date listings of participating restaurants and special offerings.
